Anterior flexor compartment musculocutaneous nerve arises from c5,c6, c7. Muscular component is motor, cutaneous component is sensory. Skin - to lateral aspect of forearm median nerve. Hsf page 10 arises from c5,c6, c7, c8, t1. Muscles most anterior compartment forearm muscles flexors of the wrist and fingers passes under carpal tunnel also supplies most muscles of base of thumb (thenar muslces) Doesn"t innervate anything other than forearm and hand (doesn"t innervate anterior compartment of the arm) Sensory innervation of median nerve on hand palmar 3 digits + nail beds susceptible to compression in carpal tunnel.
