Is mental health differnt to happiness: there"s a set point model of happiness, we generally go back to the set point, changing factors in life can causes fluctuations of happiness on day to day life. Or is it a continuum requiring different levels of support: many stages in life. Welbeing and being well: can we be well whilst being unwell. What do patients say: areas of experience, having a good time, plasure and joy, freedom and relaxation, motivation and hope, being together, belonging, teamwork, social participation, feeling, awareness of emotions, expressing emotion, emotion regulation, being someone. A deeply personal, unique process of changing one"s attitudes, values, feelings, goals, skills and /or roles. It is a way of living a satisfying, hopeful, and contributing life even with limitations caused by the illness. Recovery involves the development of new meaning and purpose in one"s life as one grows beyond the catastrophic effects of mental illness.
