Lecture 8 – Conformity and Obedience
Obedience – creates social structure, behaviour is seen to change with commands by authority
Conformity – pressure is explicit, the source of conformity is the individual vs the group
MILGRAM – the shock experiment, obedience to authority was examined

The legitimacy of the authority figure has a massive impact on whether or not the commands were fully
