The three forms of social influence: social comparison, social norm, social identity. Social comparison: using other people as a basis of comparison for evaluating oneself, people often self-evaluate themselves (assessing their own perceptions, opinions, values and abilities), self-evaluation can be conducted based on 2 things, objective measurements (height, weight etc. ) Can measure/count: non-objective measurements (cognitive abilities, social skills, talents etc. ) Immeasurable: how do we self-evaluate things that are not under the objective measurement criteria, conduct two types of comparisons. Temporal comparison - consider our state now compared to the past.
