- Why is the problem important?

- How does the study relate to the previous work in the area?

How is it different? Is it novel?

- What are the primary and secondary hypotheses and objectives of the

study, and what, if any, are the links to theory?

- How do the hypotheses and research design relate to one another?

- What are the theoretical and practical implications of the study?

3. Describe the relevant scholarship

4. State the hypotheses and their correspondence to the research

design

Think about the difference between a scientific argument and a non-scientific

argument?

Scientific argument

Non-scientific is acquire knowledge and truths about the world

Synthesis involves puling together a number of sources of information,

extracting the key themes, and presenting it in a coherent and clear way.
