Summarise the major events in the history of research on the biopsychological of emotion: phineas cage, 1848 phineas gage was laying new tracks for the new road, had to blast it to make new levels. He survived but his personality changed completely: 1994 damasio and her colleagues did research on gage"s accident. Also not all emotions are associated with the same pattern of ans activity. Emotions and facial expression: ekman began analyzing hundreds of films and photos of people experiencing various real emotions 1960s, compiled an atlas of the facial expressions that are normally associated with different emotions. Primary facial expressions: ekman and friesen concluded with six primary emotions = surprise, anger, sadness, disgust, fear and happiness, all other facial expressions of genuine emotion are composed of mixtures of these six.
