Little sympathy in this approach really, stigmatise people: liberal account of drug use: centred around quality and freedom. Make sure you make an informed choice about using drugs. Just like what we eat is up to us, whether we eat healthy or unhealthily, it is up to you! Becomes different when it imposes harm on anyone else though. Reserve intervention for when harm is done to others: disease model of drug use: a brain disease model rather than a physical one. Put people in mri scanners to have a look into this. Differences in the brain due to drug use, means something neurochemically.
