Management – What do managers do?
Managers:
- Manage themselves, their network, and their team

- To say what is ‘good’ in management is difficult. To say what is ‘effective’ is much easier
The Managerial Role
- Managers directly support and help activate the work efforts and performance
accomplishment of others.
- A manager is a person in a formal position involving some responsibility for the work of
other people and for other resources, especially financial
- Management is the process of planning, organising, leading, and controlling the use of
resources to accomplish performance goals
