LLB105 Lecture Notes - Lecture 4: Nonverbal Communication, Queensland University Of Technology, Relate
Document Summary
Value of linking oral and written forms. Persuasive benefits of variation in verbal aspects, and use nonverbal communication. To assist a judge to follow your oral arguments, and ultimately to help persuade them. A concise overview of the key submissions you will make, supported by authorities. A complete script of what you intend to say. An essay on the law, or legal history. Remember that issues are the key questions that need consideration. Refine the four issues as listed in the scenario to be more specific (e. g. is there a cause of action?) For each, you will need to outline your argument for the elements required in that action. There won"t be much room for detailed explanation this will come orally. You will need to provide an authority wherever possible. Your outline should address all four issues. However, you may concede particular issues if you choose. Biggest challenge is finding appropriate balance between clarity and brevity.
