remaining weeks
Assessment 3: 5 scholarly articles published on or after 2012, analyse them
Literature review
Research existing scholarly literature, what has already been published
Research your ideas before you write about them
Look at many articles as possible (Scholarly articles! We aret iterested i logs,
book, newspapers)
Types of publications
- Journals: usually 5000 words, specific sections, peer reviewed scholarly articles, the
output of scholars in a specific discipline
- Edited books: Collection of articles

Should be from the discipline of media studies
Explore connections between media and everyday life
Literature review Goal: Identify what is known about a topic, can show what they are
about to report on and how it fits into a larger topic
Testing knowledge of the articles you are locating, ability to relate relevant
published literature to the course
