Study: black and white students wrote an essay for an essay competition standards and an assurance of a person"s capacity to reach them that was submitted, with a picture of themselves, for feedback a week later. Everyone received the same general feedback but in the wise criticism condition an extra paragraph on the expectations of high standards and an assurance of the participant"s capacity to read them was included.
