Week 3 - PE Tutorial
In this week’s tutorial session we will be revising Fundamental Movement Skills - the 3
categories and trying to dispel some common myths.
We will be exploring the value of using balloons in your class with regard to an introductory
activity leading into ball skills (hand eye coordination / foot eye coordination). When writing
up your template for balloon play use the Games Template and list the progressions with a
brief explanation of each - you may find it useful to include verbal cues KTP’s that relate
to hand eye / foot eye coordination.
Teaching Object Control Skills - on Blackboard in week 8 there is now a folder titled
“Teaching Object Control Skills “. This is where all the information with regards to what we
have done in tutorials has been placed along with other documents that will help you in the
teaching of Object Control Skills . Some of these are to be printed off and placed in your
games file - others are there for your reference and to help you in the writing of your Skill
Templates.
