• Low vegetation, periodically waterlogged, sediment filters
Dry sclerophyll & open forest/woodland
• Infertile soils, spaced eucalypts, small wattles, casuarina & grasses
Wet scherophyll
• Fertile soils, tall eucalypts, many smaller trees & shrubs, broken & ferns
Rainforest
• Fertile soils, tall eucalypts, 100% tree cover, palms, ferns, huge diversity
Rocky/montane heath
• Exposed hilltops, infertile soils, heath, some small trees, low diversity
