How do we understand the diversity of human culture across the globe (cultural anthropology) All humans are capable of using technology and symbol systems; this is what distinguishes humans from other mammals. Humans in different cultures use technology and ysmbols in vastly different ways; this is what distinguishes humans from each other. We explored how these are two aspects of a unified cultural process. In exploring these themes, we have used a working definition of culture.
