ENGG1111 Lecture Notes - Lecture 5: Maintainability, Primary Stages, Reduced Cost
Document Summary
As undergraduates we are expected to pertain the skills that we are taught. Such skills are required for problem solving, and being able to produce a solution, to which, in a logical and practical sense, would allow an idea or solution to be further developed, when a problem or challenge arises. It involves a cycle of deeply considered outcomes and thinking, involving analysis, evaluation and improvement. This is vital for engineers, due to the nature of the problems that they face. It is not necessarily valid or not, in terms of the approach that you take on. Intellectual humility about being reserved about your thinking; not claiming you are correct, but being open with criticism. Note: building agency in relation to the design project, but good to know for understanding the process of engineering brainstorming. This helps with understanding the thinking of the engineering, and the development process of design solutions. And the stage of developing a solution.
