There are 2 aspects to the action research model. --technical features: these are the systematic processes of the inquiry. --working principles: these focus on the human dimensions of classroom and school life. -- effective action research is a holistic process that takes into account all features and elements of a situation likely to have an effect on the issue investigated. " (stringer, 2008 p31) --the approach to action research offered by stringer (2008) works on the assumptions that people (even young people): have deep and extended understandings of their lives; are able to negotiate their way through an unpredictable life world. --it is our willingness to acknowledge the legitimacy of these worldviews that is at the heart of participatory action research. --this orientation to research seeks to: enhance feelings of competence and worth; Engage people in processes that provide an affirmation of themselves, their friends, families and communities.
