The international political environment (part of the external environment in the market schematic model) What is it: the (cid:858)st(cid:396)u(cid:272)tu(cid:396)e(cid:859) that defi(cid:374)es (cid:449)hat a (cid:272)ou(cid:374)t(cid:396)(cid:455) is a(cid:374)d ho(cid:449) it(cid:859)s society and businesses are o(cid:396)ga(cid:374)ised a(cid:374)d fu(cid:374)(cid:272)tio(cid:374) (cid:894)e. g. If the firm will be allowed into the country. If it is allowed then it dictates how it will need to be set up and operate. How does it work: because each country has a different political structure there will be different implications as to how the firm operates and is managed. Govs have a lot of tools that they can use to determine what comes out and what comes in. Governments regulate: what comes in (imports, what goes out (exports, how business works (business rules, fo(cid:396)eig(cid:374) i(cid:374)(cid:448)est(cid:373)e(cid:374)t (cid:858)(cid:396)ules(cid:859, fo(cid:396)eig(cid:374) e(cid:395)uit(cid:455) (cid:858)(cid:396)ules(cid:859, p(cid:396)odu(cid:272)t/se(cid:396)(cid:448)i(cid:272)e (cid:858)sta(cid:374)da(cid:396)ds(cid:859, p(cid:396)ofessio(cid:374)al (cid:858)(cid:395)ualifi(cid:272)atio(cid:374)s(cid:859)
