The entire future of humanity will be attained through the creative; orientation to the
future, behaviour based on the future and derived from this future, is the most important
function of the imagination – Vygotsky 1930
- The concept of imagination is considered as the creation of the future of humanity

Emphasis placed on play:
- Vygotsky placed a significant emphasis on how the imagination works, the affective
domain, the individual and the social nature of creativity and a concept called
PEREZHIVANIE – a Russian word, to experience, to live, to be in the present moment
as affective elements are animated.
