Rule clarity: emphasis on establishing and students knowing rules and consequences. Teacher control: how strict the teacher is in enforcing rules and consequences. Af liation: level of friendship students feel for each other. expressed by socialising enjoyment from working together. Teacher involvement in student learning and attitude to it. Teacher encouragement of and care for students. Students perception of how they are going with class work. Attitude to being at school and doing work. Sense of pride in progress so far.
