Document Summary

3. 1 bone, muscle, ligament and nerve supply of the upper limb. Sc joint is classified as a synovial joint with fibrocartilage joint disc. The joint is only a slightly concaved ball and socket joint increased range of movement (abduction and adduction) but also increased vulnerability (chance of being damaged) Between humerus and scapula glenohumeral joint. Between scapula and clavicle acromioclavicular joint. Between clavicle and sternum sternoclavicular joint. Coracoacromial ligament attaches from the coracoid process to the acromion process on scapula (above the shoulder joint) and prevents upward dislocation of the shoulder (roof of the joint) Coracoclavicular ligament (trapezoid ligament and conoid ligament) connects clavicle and coracoid process and holds two bones in place. Acromioclavicular ligament strengthens the fibrous capsule of the acromioclavicular joint. Coracohumeral ligament attaches from the dorsolateral base of the coracoid process to the greater and lesser tubercles of the humerus in two bands; it also forms a portion of the tunnel for bicep brachii attachment.
