Next singing sisters/brothers short one act play starring a list people. 4th novelty e. g sword wallowing. 1st half end star then intermission then big act that needed set up. 2nd last best spot star act - name headliner vocalist, comedians closing short film, live act to encourage people to leave for the next show. Harrigan, hart, braham started musical comedy. Plots were loose to let artists play. Shift away from strict format, people bringing unique flavour. Weber and fields dutch acts comedic physical fights. Broadway music hall weber and fields bought their own theatre, put on spoofs and revues, parody art as commentary.
