Essay can be structured in many ways (not necessarily following this order) Use what you have learned about how to analyse an article we have studied to analyse an article that is new to you and which is studying a different culture. Use what you have learned about how to compare and contrast articles about two different cultures to compare a familiar article with a new one: ex. Recognizing the different aspects of culture: learned, shared, symbolic, material, integrated: ex. Recognising the difference between evidence and argument. Understanding the relationship between evidence and argument. Hua: food: the more integrated = the more questions it opens up. We are using the definitions as the basis of comparison. This means you are comparing: arguments, relationships between arguments and evidence. You are not arguing that actual beliefs and practices are similar or different: they serve similar function or role in the community, but they are different.
