We all have abilities on both sides of the brain, but can have a greater tendency for one side. If you see the dancer rotating clockwise it means that you use the right hemisphere of your brain more intensively. However the counterclockwise rotation means that you use the left hemispheres of your brain more intensively. The most people have only one brain hemisphere in use and they are able to detect only one rotating direction. However, some people are able to recognize both directions, especially those who have strong imagination power. Zangwill (1967) patients suffering dysphasia (reduction in ability to communicate) after a unilateral cerebral lesion . About 80% of right-handers will have problems understanding or producing language if their left cerebral hemisphere is damaged.
