The hutu were squat and of medium height, the twa were short like pygmies and the tutsi were slender and tall. A german anthropologist found a 12 cm difference. According to the cnrs the tutsi are taller by 10 cm. Concluded that they were different people who came from different places. Denied the possibility of migration and argued that physical differences originated in social selection that is the tendency of privileged elites to breed and feed selectivity. Rather then denied the possibility of migration critics question its significance as a historical fact.
