Boys and girls (age range 3 - 8) From age 5 - 8 they seem to form one group. Social cognition level is related to inclusion and exclusion & are able to cognify emotions. But it does not work at age 3 - 4. They are physically unable to run around and play soccer like the other kids. Brings in confounding variables that won"t give you the results you asked about. Simple design: ask children to name as many possible uses of a paperclip they can think of. Outcome measure: number of different uses identified. 6 year old shows a higher level of creativity than the 4 years.
