Dangerous: if it is dangerous for the person or the surrounding people. (ex. Mental illness is the number one cause of disability in canada. It accounts for about seventy percent of costs of disability claims. It will cause more than 500 000 canadians to miss work each day. There is more of a focus on treatment rather than prevention. The middle ages is when the church became the guardian of all medical knowledge, so religious interpretations influenced medical information. Illness was viewed as god"s punishment which explains why treatments were so different. (ex. Driving evil out of the body through torture)
