Parliament consists of the monarch (the crown), the house of commons (the common people), the senate (the nobility) A confidence chamber: government must have support of the majority of mps. Most major government legislation is introduced in the house. Meant to be more powerful than senate. House has right to determine how government may raise and spend money.
