Utopia reform and the centralized plan (mon sep 24) Robert owens, owen"s plan the life and ideas of robert owen. His idea for a plan for a village of industry: Squares of buildings surrounded by land and other like villages in the distance. -3 sides of each square designated for families, fourth side is for children above the age of 3, an in the centre apartments for those who have out grown the dormitories. Places for strangers coming to visit as well as the workers of the commodities in the village: on the outside gardens bounded by roads. -plantations separated from the housing for mechanical and manufacturing process, opposite to these plants is office for washing, and bleaching and even further out is farming area, then pastures and lastly fruit trees. Not only useless but direct burden on the public .
