Art reached a degree of sophisicaion in propaganda under louis xvi. The portrait sums up everything you would have needed to know about him. Louis" bedroom is the most important bedroom, centered right at the middle. With louis at the center, everything outside him, surrounding him should not be out of control (why it is symmetrical) Formal gardens emphasize control and order the orangerie: part of the formal gardens. Versailles was built by louis xiii as a huning lodge, but was expanded by louis xvi and turned into a palace.
