Delivery is not guaranteed: solution, make a lot of pollen and bank on the odds of some of it falling on the right place. Water: water pollination is called: hydrophily using couriers, pollinators= surrogate lovers. Insects including: wasps, butterflies, moths, flies, beetles, birds are also pollinators, major pollinators are bees, entomophily, why do pollinators help flowers pollinate, because they are bribed, flowers exploit insects and offer them food. Two types of food they offer: pollen attracts some insecgs such as hover flies: some flowers offer only pollen as food these are pollinated by bees. They have different types of sugar etc. this is important for insects to know where to go: nectar is held in nectaries, buttercup nectaries are small sleeves at the bottom, nectar is held in shallow cups in milkweeds. It"s like a (cid:271)all so pretty (cid:373)u(cid:272)h all i(cid:374)se(cid:272)ts (cid:272)a(cid:374) go a(cid:374)d eat there. It"s like a dog"s feeder: columbine has special nectar leaves with long spurs.
