Ground beetles hunt in day, good vision, can detect slime trail of slugs or snails: ex. Dragonflies are visual hunters, most of their head is eyes. Compound eyes made up of 28,000 ommatidia each with 6 or 7 sensory cells (really refined vision): ex. Have muscles that can change the retina position which can change the field of view (changes depth perception for jumping: ex. Jumping spiders have exceptional eyesight, one of the best daytime hunters. Camouflaged and hide, using their vision to stock out prey.
