It not used by people, not aligned with process or managing bad information does not provide value and business information systems is about understanding this interplay and developing strategy and practices to generate business value. Information and communication technology (ict) - is any computer-based tool that people use to work with information. Information technology has greatly accelerated both the good and the bad. Ict can be used to increase profit, reduce costs, increase service quality and benefit society. It can also be used to steal your personal information, commit fraud etc. therefore it can be a huge distraction if not used properly. The law has proven quite useful and accurate in modeling many aspects of it growth - from hard-drive capacity to computing power overall and also illustrates the incredible progress of information technology.
