The cognitive level: ways to explain: we will use learning as a running example, cognitive science specializes in a particular level of explanation: the cognitive level. In this lecture, we will describe this level in part by distinguishing it from the others. However, for all of the levels described there are problems they are well-suited for: cognitive science interdisciplinary study of the mind, describes thing in terms of information as opposed to neurons and stuff like that. Taboo don"t do: people of this culture do not actually know that there are toxins, they just know not to do that, almost like a superstition (e. g. stepping on a crack, the figian culture learned this through ancestors. People who didn"t eat fish when pregnant usually livd to pass it on now these people just follow it: what is the difference between sociologicaly and differen disciplines looks at groups.
