Good question: compare one (or more) amarna statue with any statue of a different dynasty (or greek if you are so minded) The third egyptian cannon changes from 18 to 21 squares (elongated aesthetic). this cannon favours soft curves as opposed to hard edges. It features prominent navels, belly oven kilt, affectionate and serene depictions of people. Diaphanous (see through clothing) stately styled clothing, taut to show the curves and folds in the clothes, frontal, tight waist. If we had two figures next to each other then they always interact (affectionate style). We also find right arm bent at the elbow and it typically holds something, mummy styled arms, small soft breasts, upper legs impossibly tight together (prominent pubic bones). The cannon"s style also features huge heads, dropping features, stopped shoulders, long necks, shoulders, waist being narrow, large buttocks, cartouches worn as torques. Atten is largest cartouche, akenaten middle size, and nefertiti is the smallest.
