Making a connection at a time of disconnect. We think very close to us as well, and what returns very quickly. Very locally and not on the impacts that affect us internationally in the natural world. Making a natural science connection at a time of disconnection. Museums, in general: history: recording and documenting natural history, continually overtime and space, objects: schools don"t collect things (books maybe) museums have the real things the books talk about. No collection=no museum: certainty: scientific authorities label and theme of certainty around the objects. Identity: place which introduces ideas to society ex. Human rights, racism/race as a concept, birth control/sex, museums always push the boundaries of comfort, safe places to go to learn and understand through real facts.
