This is what you should be striving for : globalizaion of adverising culture, colonizaion of the body. Adverising started to set up ideals on how the body should look, act, smell. Adverising tells us that we should try to erase the wrinkles. Adverising as insituion: adverising as an educaional force- feedback loop with our broader culture, cultural insituion- structure that governs our behaviors, values, and aitudes. Any kind of material or immaterial structure for things we should care or not about. Marriage is an immaterial insituion, but a structure that governs our behaviors. How what we want is inluenced by others: consistent, cumulaive inluence- ads create an environment, baldness ad. Makes him feel bad about his hair loss. His responsibility as a father to not make his son worry about hair loss.
