How wars happen and why people kill each other. How people can live in peace again and how society should be structured to ensure it. How people learn about the world around them. How people come to trust in people they do not know to buy what people are selling them. The power that certain agencies have in communicating the same messages to large numbers with relative ease and efficiency. The way that the structure of those agencies may have some impact on how and what they communicate. Basically: how do we put the world back together. These questions have to do with three things. Many believed that the answers to these questions have to do with communication. Many believe that we should focus on conversation as they did on mass media to better understand the function of comm. Scholars turned to sociology and psychology for answers. They counted stuff, described people"s reactions to things, and learned about how comm.
