Coms is a program where you learn how media affects society. Rights and responsibilities that we have, things regarding ethics have a media dimension about them. Morality: the rules that guide one"s actions. Ethics is the evaluation of the rules, conduct to one"s actions. The study of the what to do , based on things that have been done before. Ethics is all about making moral decisions and confronting your own decision-making structure. Laws, policies, friends, family, influencers, celebrities, etc. As capable media producers nowadays, we make a number of different decisions which reflect different moral and values-based positions. Media institutions undertake many positions which reflect moralistic positions which can play a role in our own moral positions. Nowadays, creating content in media has become much easier than it was 15 years ago, and because technology is so powerful and accessible, the possibilities are endless. People today can now be media institutions by themselves.
