If the shipping container is a medium, its message is the logistics of it all. Can help companies move different things safely to different ports in different locations. 98% of the messages, signals we send, cloud technology we use are made possible by undersea cable networks. Global multinational companies, financial markets, all rely on undersea networks for data transmission. It"s faster, more efficient than the sky networks. Submarine cables summary: infrastructure is a thing, it"s how we send messages, watch thins on netflix, send data, etc. Materialism: tangible things, how we provide for our material needs. New materialism: big companies use new materials.
