What is criminology?/ what do criminologists do: many different types of criminologists who do different things, such as becoming professors, lawyers, look at the canadian prison system, criminology is "the body of knowledge regarding crimes a social phenomenon" Why are some people more prone to breaking the laws then others: reacting to breaking the law: society looks at law in a very particular way, people want offenders to be punished. There is also unintended consequences because of how people react to the breaking of laws. One consequence is that society punished people even after they get out of prison, which makes it harder for offenders to integrate back into the society and makes it harder to get a job, and be an upstanding citizen. Another consequence is that some offenders may have families who rely on them, and their families may be stigmatized.
