Chapters 1 to 9: chapter 7, didn"t cover manipulation, simulation, applying threats to any design, ex knowing if it"s a correlation design. Descriptive research strategies- characteristics include seeing someone observing an experiment: ex: average income of those who live in ottawa, it is the current, the moment of time. Correlation research strategy- it is correlation strategy because it describes the relationship between two variables that co-exist in a person: ex: gpa and when you get up in the morning (taking two measures for one person) Experimental rs: minimum two groups, one is a control, cannot have more than one control group: comparing two groups minimum and have one group that is manipulated. Each additional group in the study are different therefore, sampling more people each category. Eliminating some issues when you do the subjects design.
