John berger"s g (1972): novel by a british writer and art critic which reworks don juan story. Postmodern interest in multiple points of view and historiographic meta ction. Historiographic meta ction: ction that is meta ctional and historical in it"s echo of events and texts, the contents and forms of the past. Book 1: little seeds , the bridge , the searcher - patrick and hazen lewis. Leitmotif: a frequently repeated phrase, image, symbole, situation which indicates or supports the theme. Patrick"s sense of identity: patrick often stands at a window looking out; reference to people re ecting patrick. Reference to patrick being an immigrant: notion of migration. One of the main characters, he"s the one that all of the threads go through at one point (like maggie from swamp angel)
