The second creation at the end of the creation story could be the salt sh girl: miranda. Miranda and evie at the end of the novel is a re-written the patriarchal myth. Reimagining of the fuxi brother who was inserted into the myth as the society went from matriarchal to patriarchal. Theme in the novel of the taboo desire between women. Crackpot with kabbalistic, frankenstein with adam and eve and prometheus. Serve as an explanation: human life in relation to animals, social structure and hierarchy, human purpose. Ontology: the question of the nature of being. Novel points to its frame of reference: intertextuality. Both miranda and hoda are diasporic subjects: to be relatable there needs to be some history.
