Document Summary

Not what the work is about, an idea or message. The vision of harmony: traditional romance, we see profound unity between the king and queen and their kingdom. The kind and his wife are often seen as identifying with each other. Line 175: rhyme of life and wife , shows just how attached heurodis is to him. His life is transformed by the absence of his wife, he becomes a pilgrim, grows long beards and gets thin. Line 196: orfeo is described as distraught, it is as if he died (line 197) which is the same reaction that heurodis had when she work from her dream. When heurodis rst nds out that she will be taken, she tears esh from her face: her appearance changes (dis gured) as does orfeo"s when he lives in exile in the wilderness. Line 102: orfeo responding to heurodis"s dis guration, line 323: heurodis sees him and goes into a speech lamenting orfeo"s dis guration.
