Aid is usually provided by developed countries in the west e. g usa however there are now some developing countries that act as donors as well e. g. china. Foreign aid refers to all funds, including private ones. Overseas development assistance refers only to of cial funds that have a grant element. Most funds given by donor countries are not oda"s as they are not grant/or given, rather they lent with/or without interest.
