Antigens-a toxin or other foreign substance which induces an immune response in the body, especially the production of antibodies. Antibodies-a blood protein produced in response to and counteracting a specific antigen. Antibodies combine chemically with substances which the body recognizes as alien, such as bacteria, viruses, and foreign substances in the blood. Public health agency of canada is responsible for disease surveillance and outbreaks. They will keep it confidential, but your info is sent to the public health agency. They then need to figure out the root cause, you must by law disclose the answers in an honest and open way. They will create a short list of potential individuals that might have been the root cause. You then have 24-48 hours to contact them and tell them they need to be tested (or the public health agency can do it for you)
