Human element, support survivors of sexual assault. Connect with person on a personal level. Reflect: do not shame them. (e. x. don"t ask something like, why were you wearing that provocative skirt?) No two survivors are the same and each and every one of them will react differently. No means no: you must respect how an individual chooses to tell their story. Informed consent: tell them where it will be published. Ask them whether they want to be published.
