Now that advertising can be eliminated, business model of broadcast television collapses. The ways people consume video and what they look for has changed now that people can access it whenever they want and anyone can create it. During paris attacks, news networks were repeating the same things over and over. Nazis used television as a way to show how advanced they were as propaganda again, but social media was more live. Television was an invention in the 1920s, but it wasn"t clear what it could be used for, was imagined to be an evolution of the telephone, or a medium of theatrical exhibition. Early televisions had very small screens, so it couldn"t be displayed to large groups of people. Television would emerge similar to radio, as a method of broadcasting. Television can be live in a way movies can not. Sports had an already existing appeal, so it"s easy to produce popular content.
