We live in a country where every person has to be a constitutional expert- Constitution act of 1867, have to know where to go for services. Reporters need to know too so they know who to contact. The constitution act of 1962: charter of rights. Divide things up between the federal government and the provincial government. Federal- things that stretch across the country, peace, order and good government. Federal can gather a lot more money than provincial. E. g. federal pays for a lot of health, social, equalization services. Part of the constitution looking at society"s rights and pertails the government"s power. Sets out that our country is based on the rule of law- everyone is subject to it, including the government. Government can"t be arbitrary in making the law or following it: fit the moving parts together- 3 branches of government , executive- governor-in-council.
