In order to be a specialist in law you just say that you are more knowledgeable in that area. Lawyers don"t make large sums of money right away. Many lawyers never go to court. certain group of lawyers go to court often and others never do. Law society regulates the minimum that lawyers could charge to minimize competition. Because firms hae gotten bigger its harder to distinguish yourself. Undergrad students go from being very intelligent, very promising students to just being another cog in the wheel . In order to be disbarred a lawyer must. To become a lawyer you must do an apprenticeship after law school. Many law firms could thus be racist or sexist and not accept certain apprenticeship. Racialized lawyers don"t have a collective group pushing for more equality. Alienation because no one around you shares the same ethnicity. More women study law but when they get into practice there is still inequality.
